Giovanni and Celia have run a variety of hotels in Switzerland and England, purchasing Palombara in 2000. Whilst the property had passed out of the family’s hands, Giovanni’s mother was born in the house that is a couple of hundred of years old.  Giovanni’s family are originally from Ornaro Alto with many of his relations still living in the village. His brother Marino will be your main contact during your stay.

PALOMBARA FARMHOUSE

Palombara Farmhouse is a lovely stone house set in a tranquil spot on the outskirts of Ornaro Alto. It enjoys splendid views of both mountains and oak forests.

On the ground floor you will find a dining area with open fireplace, well equipped kitchen, spacious lounge and shower room. Upstairs there are two good sized double bedrooms (one en-suite); a twin bedded room, a standard double room and family bathroom with bath and shower.

The house is surrounded by a well-kept garden, complemented by a sun terrace and pergola with an outside barbecue for alfresco dining. Below the property is the swimming pool (6mx12m) in a natural, tranquil setting with a large sun terrace and wonderful views of the hills and mountains.

This is an ideal area for walking, with a network of many tracks leading to other small villages and farms. Skiing is available in the winter at the nearby resort of Terminillo, making this a perfect base all year round.

For larger groups of people, additional accommodation may be available.
